It’s Beginning to Look…

Dan Howard   -

When I was a kid, one of my earliest memories involve sitting next to my grandma as she sang “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas.” Truth be told, she sang that song whenever the season started to change from fall to the beginning of winter. It was a catch all for her. It prepared her for what is coming ahead. We too sing songs in preparation for the coming season. We sing to remind ourselves that we are the people of hope. No matter how dark, or dreary…and Christmas happens near the darkest day of the year in a season filled with slush and snow…. We have the promise of God, the presence of God with us always. So, as you go about these last 2 weeks until Christmas, may you to in your heart say “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas” and may that hope be what encourages you to spread the Gospel to each and every person you meet.

But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.
– Galatians 4:4-7

Sing loudly my friends,
