The Road
The Road
Before we met the crowds
After we left the crowds
There was the road
Eight days ago we came off the road
Oh the crowds
Three days gone
Now back on the road
Without him
The road was long
Only three years
We laughed, we learned
We understood
We misunderstood
Often
That road led to Jerusalem
This road is to Emmaus
The road we walk
It is strangely different
No laughter, no teacher
Left alone to make sense
No prophet or redemption for Israel
Women could not find the body
Are you the only visitor who does not know?
The Christ must suffer
All theses things!
Our hearts are burning now!
Blessed the bread
Take and eat
Our eyes are open
Never alone on the road!
Quickly to the road!
Based on Luke 24:13-35
Hallelujah, He is risen
