Lament of Time
Lament of Time
The goal is fast approaching
The date circled on a metaphorical calendar
The change deemed necessary
Time will tell
Is good enough really good enough?
Change the time, change the goal
Keep the goal, change the symbolic date?
Not wanting to be a Hezekiah
Waiting for an Isaiah
Shall the prayer be for more time?
Will the shadows on the steps go backwards?
Will there be a new Manasseh?
“Isn’t it enough if there is peace and security as long as I live?”1
Time
Goals
Change
Will
I
Change?
In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.
